  • Has anyone had this problem?

A few of my customers are experiencing this. They have  Facebook buttons on their blog sidebars that link to their FB page, like this: https://www.facebook.com/1stclasscreativity.

If I’m logged into FB I can see it fine.  If I log out then you don’t see the page anymore.

It appears she does have a Welcome page setup:http://www.facebook.com/1stclasscreativity?sk=app_7146470109

But I am not seeing this when I visit her page…but that’s not the problem.

For her and a few other customers…their link is just not working and instead showing the default FB login page at http://www.Facebook.com.

    Help! — thanks so much!!!!

  • Yes, @blogsbyheather – it’s because you have either country settings or age restrictions on your Manage Permissions page in the settings.  When you do that Facebook requires that people log in so that they can check their profile beforehand to know if they can show them the page first.

While it’s a good idea in theory if you wanted to restrict your likes, the fact that Facebook “hides” your page if you aren’t logged in is not a good thing.  So take those restrictions and you will be all set!

  • @blogsbyheather that’s too strange situation for me, coz at the time of opening the link provided by you, i am logged into my fb account and though unable to see anything as soon as i click on the link, i am redirected to home page :(

  • Agree with @andrea-vahl , the pages mentioned by  @blogsbyheather have location restrictions as well so thats why  @moinshaikh, you are unable to open the links and its moving to your home page.

  • @ijazrafi, hmm right bro!

  • @andrea-vahlThanks so much!!!!!!I will tell them that!!!

@moinshaikh @ijazrafi Thanks for chatting and helping me with testing this situation!

    Heather :D

  • @blogsbyheather you are welcome and would be great to help you again……

  • I am not sure of where to locate the controls for these restrictions, @ijazrafi

  • @durkbarton  please follow the below instructions:

    1. Click on Edit info under the name of the page (you must be admin of your page to do it)

    2. Then you will see menu on left side where on the second option is “Manage Permission” click on it

    3. Now “Manage Permission” menu is opened here you will find the all these options.

Let me know if still any problem in finding and resolving this issues.

    Thanks,

    Ijaz Rafi
