This is the burning question that most of start ups face today. There are many posts here in SME club that could answer your question but i like most below one which was originally posted by our one of leading club member Ricks Mosca.

What i can tell you is first determine your audience, then determine your goals. Once you are done with this, start creating useful, interactive and interesting content. Images are better than texts so i suggest you focus on graphic content more than just posting text only content on walls. Also, useful information, general knowledge about related products/services, questions – answers on specific product/services can help you improve engagement and talking about this stats.
Basically, we follow simple rule of 3 Rs. 1. Be Relevant – Post useful, interesting content related to your business/services/products. It is okay to post off topics sometimes (esp. weekends). Remember, your fans come to your page to know information about what your business offers not for off topics, so relevancy is deciding point.2. Be Regular – Posting one post this week and second after a week won’t make any sense and won’t keep fans coming back to your page ever. So keep posting regularly. Maintain a regular schedule of posting.3. Be Responsive - Response is what will make your fans happy! Whenever they ask any question, post any comment or even complaints, respond them. It will help you establish professional and customer friendly image on social network. Try to respond as soon as possible in case of questions and complaints, because facebook is a place where every comment (whether question or complaint) shows date and time when it was posted. So think of time!
Thanks! @nandiyogi
