  • Any suggestions for the best way to present Facebook insights to management or the boss?  There appears to be a lot of information, so any thoughts on key metrics to show/provide?Thanks!

  • I first like to go post by post and review each posts specifics and performance.  Then I like to look a the People Talking About this graph, and finally the New Like’s graph.  Have conclusions and recommendations for improving your performance ready to review at the end of the talking about this and new Likes graphs.  If there aren’t already any goals it would be good to start the presentation with goal setting.

  • @einsley  What is your goal with presenting the information to the boss.

I said it in another post.  I like to look at the finish line and work my way back.  What does “success” look ilke to them.  What would be a measure of success or a need for a new plan.

Sometimes I care what the graphs say and sometimes I would do the same thing even without the spikes.  I am all over the 80/20 promoting.  Sometimes the 80 gets far less notice.  I have also had some of my best spikes on a post that was purely something I felt.    Bottom line…I see the finish line and it’s all the steps in the race to get there.

Looking forward to hearing more :)

  • The goal is recruiting new employees. Currently there is a lot of “activity” but not turning into new hires so I’m looking to find the best way to improve that.  I know it takes time to get up & moving but we are at 6 months.

Thanks Christina for your insight, much appreciated!

  • @einsley Are you using Facebook as a recruiting tool?  Interesting if so!  What is your Page?

  • Yes I’m using FB as a recruiting tool for a client…why do you say interesting?

  • FB is definitely where people are, I can see how it can potentially make a good recruiting tool.

@christinamarie7 your advice helps more than just @einsley! I don’t know what to make of insights sometimes and your suggestions give some purpose of use. Thanks!

  • We do almost the same thing as @christinamarie7.  With the new insights we are really able to talk about our potential viral reach and determine which posts are performing well and which aren’t.  We then look at the key characteristics of those posts and try to re-create them while making changes to keep it interesting and engaging for our followers.
