Facebook fan page name – start with small letter? (5 posts)

    Can I start  a fan page name with small letter instead of capital letter? I tried but facebook pop up said the automated system wil not allow and suggested to use capital letter,

    I can’t edit the name in small letter the basic information setting as well.

    Please help.

    I understand that it forces you to make it capitalized when first setting it up.  However, have you tried to request a name change https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=271607792873806 before you reach 100 Likes?

    But according to Facebook’s terms listed here:Standard capitalization: Page names must use proper, grammatically correct capitalization. They cannot include excessive capitalization or all capitals.
    that isn’t allowed.  So you run the risk of having your page deleted later.

    Page already >100 fans. no hope to change name.

    It’s my client page actually and their policy is to keep the first letter small.

    Do you think facebook can change name for such case? any successful case?

    I would see if you could contact Facebook and ask about branding with the small letter,@nicolechan – I think that you would probably be ok if you did change it for awhile but I would hate to have you lose your page unexpectedly for that reason!
