Facebook Cover Examples? (15 posts)

  • Now that everybody pretty much has the new look on Facebook who do you think has some great “covers” on their Facebook pages?
I stumbled on a site that is cranking out covers for sale, though there wan’t much there that really rocked. What do you think?http://www.myfbcovers.com/

  • Hi @jfouts  I would suggest that those who are using Facebook for business invest in a graphic artist to make their image the best possible.   Those template covers on this site are OK, but do nothing for a person who is promoting their business.

This is my new Facebook Cover photo.   How does it compare with the templates?

Looking forward to seeing what everybody else is using.

  • @randithompson I agree 1000%! I just find it interesting how quickly these template businesses pop up now. How could a template convey the reason people should use your business?

BTW I love yours, it’s all you. As a horsewoman and a web marketing geek it’s been fun to watch you grow your business. The vast majority of horse businesses desperately need your help!

  • Here’s my personal page.  Just love this one!

  • Thank you @jfouts  I have found that most small business need or help.  Lucky for me, I am in an industry where social media is still new to most of the people.  Since most of us love what we do, social media is the perfect place to be.  Nice meeting another horse person here!

  • I actually have Adobe CS3 on my computer so I created my own FB cover using a dimension guide I saw in another post on SME. Here is mine.  My business and my husband’s business incorporated into one cover photo.  Subtle, but…

  • Great examples. Here’s a link to Cyberlink Media’s fan page http://www.facebook.com/CyberlinkMedia. What do you think?

  • Our company uses a picture of our corporate headquarters building. We are divided up into several different markets, and throwing around the idea of a rotation with the cover photo so each market can put up a picture of a recent install in their area to keep it fresh.

    Thoughts?

  • i just opened   the link and  got a  big  red  virus alert…and  dh isnt home…so i hope i didnt mess everything up….  heres my   cover   http://www.facebook.com/greenoakantiques      it  really represents us  well imho….but im  pretty discouraged   if   its  true that 96%  never  come  back to  your  landing page..and  that number seems   pretty widespread  and  accepted……  no one on here  disagreed  with it  but i  just  dont think it is  true  for us…???? @jfouts

  • @mattanderson44 I like the idea of rotating out the cover to show different departments, people, products, etc – the current cover gives no clue as to what the business is/does.

@annfurnivall Great job showing the product – definitely what you’re all about and what people expect to see :)

@randithompson Good idea, putting such a good, happy picture of yourself so prominently on your cover – I would want to work with someone that was smiling and upbeat, so you’re hooking me instantly.

For the cabinet company, I created a cover that showcases all five of our product lines: http://www.facebook.com/CanyonCreek

For the construction biz, I went for our areas of expertise. Now if I could just figure out how to change the page name – I stumbled across the link once and can’t find it again…grrrr.

  • I just finished one of my fanpages this past weekend http://www.facebook.com/QReativeLab

I found this on FB to give people some ideas, I hope this helps because they do have some really nice ones.https://www.facebook.com/pages/browser.php

  • Folks, you can check out this blog post to see great examples of Facebook cover photo. http://blog.socialappshq.com/2012/03/01/5-best-examples-of-timeline-for-pages/
    Thanks SocialAppsHQ

  • @nworafairley Thanks for adding that pages browser link! I’ve been trying to find that!

One of my pages is for a gym, so I’ve been doing new cover photos about every two weeks or so for different events that they hold. I just put up a new one today for an event next week: http://www.facebook.com/powerprostemecula

I’ve been trying to schedule a rotation just as @mattanderson44 suggested! That’s a good idea so you can highlight different things!

  • I understand a cover photo cannot contain a URL.  However, what if the company logo itself incorporates “.com” in its design?  Would anyone happen to know whether this would be considered a violation to include it?  I’ve seen some examples online with millions of viewers, but I didn’t want to risk it without some feedback.

  • Hi everyone,

We ran a competition with our community to design a cover for us.
Since it is a community page, we wanted them to get involved.
The community really responded to it and got involved.

Currently we have a picture of some of the company employees. We think this represents us as a brand and gives a glimpse into what happens behind the scenes.
