Question for you FB experts… what happens to Facebook’s checkin deals?  They used to show up and stay on the right sidebar of a fan page but now with the change to Timeline, what happens to those?  Is this now only available as a tab under the Cover Photo?

I am under the impression that right now Facebook is rolling out a new check-in deals that works more similar to Groupon. You don’t have to be at the physical address to claim you can be at your house and click ‘claim deal’. Than Facebook will generate and send you an email (the account that you use to log-in). You can print it out or show it to an associate at the business location on your mobile device. As far as I know they are still working out the kinks. The business they used as a test drive was Einstein Bagel Bros. From what I read there was no limit to claim yet and they generated 30,000 emails.
