Facebook Challenged (7 posts)

  • In an attempt to market my website I have created a Facebook business page. As with everything I do with online projects I have to train myself! I have never been on Facebook and have limited knowledge how it works or can work for me. I want to add just a simple “follow-us” FB button on my website. Is it as simple as placing the FB logo/button on my website and linking it with the URL address to my FB page? Should I just let the customer use the Like button on the FB page and not worry about putting it on my website? Finally, should I put a “share” button my site?

If I’ve asked too many questions at on time, the one regarding “follow-us” is the most important.

    Thank You

  • In my opinion you should definitely link your website with its FB fan page as closely as possible (without making too much of a negative impact on the design of course) A like and share button can really help and it isn’t hard at all to do it either.

  • @inhighcottonmall

I would put a “like” and a “share” button on the website.

  • I agree with @helenazwarts, @kund-szovatai
putting a like and share button on the website is a good, good idea. I use them on my website, blog and anywhere else I am connected.

  • This is pretty cool – we use it - http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/

  • @mitch-rezman

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. I will work on getting those buttons added. @mitch-rezman Thank you for your link to the plugins. I really appreciate the input from everyone on this site. I finally feel like I have a source to get informative helpful tips.
