Facebook Advertising Best Tips for Ad Graphics (3 posts)

  • Andrea,

What is the best size graphic to use for a Facebook Ad? Any special tips you can provide?

    Thanks,Donna

  • Hey Donna,

According to Facebook here is the answer: “110 pixels wide x 80 pixels tall and should have an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9. Uploads must be less than 5 megabytes”

However, in my experience even if it matches these guidelines you’ll still want to play around with different images to see what looks the best, as some images just look better than others when used in such a small size.

  • Also – it is best to use a graphic with a colored background than a white one.  The images are so small in the first place, if you add an image with a white background, it will just blend into the background on FB.  So choose an image that has a lot of color (i.e. a blue sky)

The more color, the more likely it is to be noticed.
