Facebook Ads (6 posts)

  • Do you know the difference between impressions and pay per click with Facebook Ads?  What is the best use of either one?  Am new to this and want to learn what is the best use of our marketing dollars.

  • Impressions is where you pay per 1000 impressions (CPM), clicks will be you pay ever time someone clicks the ad (CPC).
Really depends on what you are advertising which to use, if it’s something appealing that will have a high CTR go for impressions, if not go for CPC.

  • @repairgaragedoors@pacey is right. If you are new to facebook PPC Ads, focus on getting CPCs first. Then as you progress (Depending on your budget), you can start using CPM.

I’m working on a training course on this subject, and it will focus on the basics, mainly for people who are just getting started on facebook PPC.

  • @repairgaragedoors I’d do exactly what @pacey says. Once you get the statistics from CPC, do a bit of counting and consider going to CPM. It can save you a lot of $$

  • Thank you for your answers….what if your trying to grow your fan base impressions CPMs or CPCs?

  • @kris it depends very much on how your ads are performing. If you have a high usually a high CTR on them you should go with CPM, if you have a low CTR go with CPC so you don’t lose your money on ad views. I detailed this in my post about understanding facebook ads set up in the section “8. Campaign, Pricing and Schedule” over here http://www.rudibedy.com/blog/facebook-ads-understand-set-up-recycle/
