Facebook Ads (9 posts)

Topic tags: Facebook, facebook ads
  • I was wondering if anyone knew if there was someone at FB who can clue me in to some of the advertising guidelines. I work for a startup that is political in nature and this could potentially be problematic since ads rules prohibit “political” content.

Also, is there somewhere on this group where I can search by tags?Thank you!

  • @jason-naparstek I do not have an answer to the first question, but I can tell you that you can use the “Search” box at the top-right of the clubs. There are also search capabilities at the top of each club where the popular tags are outlined

  • @jason-naparstek Here are the ad guideliens - https://www.facebook.com/ad_guidelines.php

  • @milan-steskal I am aware of those guidelines, but I was hoping to be able to speak to someone to discuss our specific case.

  • @jason-naparstek I can’t promise that I will be able to help you, but I’ll do my best if you share more details with me :)

  • The ads are reviewed before going live, if they find it inappropriate they simply won’t be approved. So just try I guess :)

  • But isn’t there a limit to how many times you can be flagged? We are not flagged that often, but because we are a politically driven app, our ads are politically natured and that sometimes seems to push the lines according to guidelines.

  • In every given situation, there must be rules to regulate actions where there is a common ground of ideas and opinions. Where such regulations are lacking, things turns awry – it then soils the beauty of the purpose. This is so with space like Facebook. We must take advantage of the liberty there to concoct something good for our beautiful world..

  • I have recently found that as traffic to your Facebook page increases random advertising to your site will increase in the form of pop-up, banners, and small displays.

A lot of the advertising could conflict with the agenda that you are trying to project on your page. If they decide that the ads that they want to run are agreeable to your sight, I’ve found that talking to their staff members is nonproductive.
