    Hi everyone,
    Can anyone who has experience using ad for your online business please share your view as to which is the best and cost effective way to start an ad to get targetted traffic for Facebook Fan Pages ? 
    1.Use Facebook ad or solo ad ? 
    2.If use facebook ad, which specific type i.e. sponsored stories or the normal facebook ad? 
    3.If use solo ad, which channel i.e. via email list, ezines or articles? Where can i get good sample of solo ad to use? 

    Any feedback would be most appreciated.Thanks.

    Hi @louisteoh I’m not sure what you mean by solo ads.  Are you talking about advertising something internal to Facebook (like your page) vs an external site?Then on #2 that can really depend.  That is one thing I recommend doing testing on to see where your conversion is better.  I found that I got a higher click through rate on Sponsored Stories but not as many actual Likes as a regular ad.  

    So let me know what you mean by solo ad and then I can answer your other questions better!

    @andrea-vahl, Sorry if my question on solo ad isn’t clear to you. I’m new to using advertisement for my fan pages. I’ve heard so much about the effectiveness of solo ad and i wasn’t sure if it can work for my fan pages.The solo ad i’m talking about is like sending ONLY my ad to promote my pages to either: (i) the mailing list of someone who’s got a big list or (ii) to a popular article directory or (iii) to a blog. I hope this’s clearer to you now. So, which would be a better choice to start with between facebook ad and solo ad?If you think solo ad is a good start off, then which would be the preferred channel among the 3 choices i’ve mentioned?I hope i’m asking the right question.
