Facebook Ad Metrics (3 posts)

  • Does anyone know the difference between the Facebook Ads metrics Actions and Clicks? The definitions given by Facebook do not clearly state the differences. Facebook says Actions are actions taken after someone clicks the ad. Clicks are the number of times the ad is clicked on. Clicks also includes page Likes, event RSVPs & app installs directly from the ad. Hmmm, so as I type this does this mean Clicks includes any actions taken on the ad? If so how do you instal an app directly from an ad?
    Thanks for your help.

  • I click that add of yours, look at the page and hit either the back button, or type in a URL. One click and I cleave. That is a click.

    OR

I click that add of yours, look at the page and then go to your info tab and then a sign-up button. I did something after looking at your first page. I took an Action.

if they do something after the first click, it is an action.

  • @lydiamediavilla Someone can click on your ad multiple times without taking an action.  So it’s good to know if your ad is just getting clicks without conversions.  Certain areas of the ad they can click on and automatically like your Page (if you are advertising your Page) but other areas they can click through to see your page and then they may choose not to like it.  So that’s a click without an action.
