facebook ad (3 posts)

  • we are  getting  ready  for our  big event and going to run  about 100 $$  of  facebook ads…..i have  read all about it…and   tried to   focus it right etc etc…..  but  as usual  its a  very murky   thing and i  can  hardly  see  if it  worked out…… for the last  few yrs we have run   4 or 5  ads a year….not  enough to  really learn   how   to  fit the ads  into  our thing…..

im  much more optimistic  about   running a few promoted posts  this  week…..  we  normally  get  about  1000  people thru our  store  next  sunday…

my  main problem is picking   the  filtering   words for the ad….  ….

i want  homeowners within   100  miles  ..but thats  too  big…

.antique is  all wrong,  most of  the buyers arent  into  antiques,  more into  rehabbing,  the junk/shabby    trend, upscale  decorating….

my  market  doesnt  seem to have an  easy word….any ideas for me?

Hi Ann. Have you tried split testing?
Try different ads using different interests and see which ones are the most efficient.
Remember too – just because you are targeting what you consider a large audience, it doesn’t mean that they are all going to show up on your doorstep.

It’s probably also better to expand your target location but be more specific with your interests/niche keywords.

Have a look around the web for forums that are dedicated to your niche – they are generally gold mines for the terminology you need for your campaign.

    I hope it goes well.

  • thanks  cam…..  ive   kind of  absorbed  all that….and   still   come up  short on  getting the right words…..

im not  worried about  too many  people!!! ha ha…  i mean  that  targeting   that  many people   wouldnt work and   be  wasteful  ….  becasue all homeowners  wouldnt  be   interested in us…..so then i have to pick another   filtering  word…..and  there lies the   problem….

@camwilkes splitting  souonds  good too…we have  tried  that  , kind of….. if  we ran  ads   consistently  it  would  be lots  better….  the  buzz ive  been  reading lately  is   a lot  against  facebook ads….  so im  glad  this is   just a  teeny part of  my promotion…
