Exporting and analyzing FB insights data (4 posts)

  • Hi guys,

Just a quick question. How do you use the data you export from FB insights? I have exported it and it shows you a lot of numbers. I know that not all of them will be useful.

What metrics do you use to analyze the performance of your page, and how do you use the data to improve its performance.

  • There are a lot of posts I’ve found on how to analyze the data.  I like this one:  http://blog.hubspot.com/blog/tabid/6307/bid/31965/How-to-Analyze-Facebook-Insights-to-Improve-Your-Content-Strategy-With-Video.aspx

But I also like the Page Post level data too.
Here are some posts that I also like from AgoraPulse:  http://www.agorapulse.com/blog
Unfortunately I don’t always do enough analysis on my own page!  How about others?  Do you dive deeper into the metrics?

  • I’ve been using the likes, reach and people talking about this numbers! According to the hubspot blog though not all are very helpful, hmm.. @andrea-vahl Very useful stuff thanks! :)

@freddie-blanco I’ve found that analyzing data of each post gives me a lot of insight as to what works and what doesn’t. Of course there are so many factors why a post works why it doesn’t! Quite confusing when two seemingly very similar posts gets completely different responses!

  • @Janani Eswar you’re right there are lots of factors that needs to be considered. It’s also very confusing. I think that analyzing theses data, although tedious should be put into practice to track the performance of posts and the page itself.

I have used the Impressions, consumption, and stories created by post metrics.
