Do you know that Facebook Ads Reach more Audiences Than Organic Content? (3 posts)

  • There are generally two schools of thought when it comes to marketing on Facebook: Paid media and Earned Media (or Organic). Among the top 100 brand pages on Facebook, those using paid advertising reach an audience that is 5.3 times larger on average, according to new study.

    There three major brands making the difference, a retailer, Samsung Mobile and a financial services company, used paid media to extend their audience five times over their organic audience in one week. There is a big opportunity to amplify the great content that brands are already putting on Facebook.

    My opinion is that if you are sure that you’re getting a second and first impression in front of the users is a really important part of having a stronger return on investment. With that you’re not just increasing revenue, you’re increasing your ROI. The amplification allows you to ramp up that reach with controlled frequency.

  • I think for large brands, advertising is naturally part of the mix.  Some startups and small brands have very limited budgets and can’t afford to amplify every post.  But it makes sense to re-engage the audience and put very strategic posts in front of their audience so they get recognized as a market leader. 

    Most small brands don’t budget in for marketing and want to do it all organically.  But I think you can really help your growth with a modest advertising budget on Facebook. 

  • not  sure what  you  consider  small  brands…we are pretty small… 6 employees  ,  but we  have a marketing   budget…..  most small retail  places like us are used to   paying  for marketing….  thats  kind of  why we  were/are  so  thrilled with the  almost  free  facebook…

    im not thrilled with  promoted posts  but  figure if we have to do it  , it will be   money  better  spent than   newspaper ads would  be…or  radio ads…

    free was much nicer!!!
