Custom Events Tab on Facebook (4 posts)

    Hi everyone,

    Some of you might have added a custom Events tab on your Facebook Page.  I seem to see most of such Events tabs contain only past events, rarely seen are upcoming events.  Am I overlooking something?  Has anyone seen any such custom Events tabs that are linked to display many future events?  If you have or have tried to add an Events tab to your Facebook Page, what would you actually like to accomplish with it?

    I also have a local networking group that has their events on their page: http://www.facebook.com/CertusProfessionalNetwork/events if you are looking for examples. 

    I’ve found that it’s been harder to get people to RSVP to Facebook events I’ve posted on my Page.  Are other people using Events?  I’d love to hear!

    Seems the event image is the photo uploaded to accompany the event. If no photo is uploaded, we see our logo-avatar in that spot.

    I tried to create a custom “events” image but find that it makes more sense to include a photo when appropriate.
    We simply use “events” as a way to advertise our events… no ask people to rsvp or respond in any way.

    Thanks @andrea-vahl.  Yes I’ve seen the first link you mentioned.  I took the liberty to share the Social Media Marketing World event agenda details at http://goo.gl/Lzmzo where in the left info box there is also a direct link to the event web site.  Viewers can also view only one or more tracks by clicking on the colored track calendar on the left.  Regarding your 2nd link: Did you mean it’s getting harder to get people to RSVP on FB but they nevertheless come to the events because they have seen or heard the events elsewhere?  I’m trying to understand how much difference it makes with the rsvp option here.

    Thanks @impactjill for sharing that you simply use it as a way to advertise your events and not for rsvp.
