Connect your HTML to your Page as a Tab. (5 posts)

  • Last week I found that it is no longer an easy thing to add an iframe app to my page. Oh I made the content and put it on the server and created the app just fine. But when I went to add it to my page, well it was half a day to figure it out. Seems that FB was not giving the right info (they do now I think) and the code was not working that was supposed to.

I blogged about this with the complete process and code to make your tab content not scrolly here.

  • Save yourself the time of keeping up with all of facebooks updates and check out Shortstack They offer a lot of features and the flexibility of writing your own code. Consolidates the majority of your most commonly used apps or tabs into one interface. They offer a lot of features in their free account so you can take it for a test drive to see if it’s right for you.
    Cheers!

  • Great post, @toddyeadon I bookmarked it.  I haven’t tried to create a new app since they did away with the app profile pages so wasn’t sure what the steps were.

But yes, @juleswebb- I think most people are better off with a third-party app since most people aren’t comfortable with coding.  Shortstack is great!

  • @toddyeadon Thanks for that.

  • Folks…have some new info regarding the pages timeline changes. Had to glean about 20 articles and do my own testing to figure it out. Most posts are just candy.

I am not linking to it here, but to the proper thread.
