I just wanted to say congratulations to @randithompson for being nominated as a finalist in the Small Business Facebook Page awards!

Randi is a member here and when i saw the email about the competition I wondered what the quality of the pages would be like.

I went to have a look and saw Randi was one of the finalists! That confirmed to be this was a legit competition as her fan page is truly one of the best you will see!

And what makes it even more impressive is she does it in what can only be described as a very niche market!

So the next time you have a client or associate that you doubt have the right type of business to use social media successfully, take a look at what Randi has achieved and the market she has done it in and you’ll think again!

Good luck and well done on being recognised for the great page you’ve built so far!

@scottlinklater   WOW. Scott.  That is so kind of you.  I have been so busy these past few weeks that I have not had time to be here as much as I would like.

You are so right, my niche is small. When we become involved in the “real” world of social media there were many times I would see someone comment, “There are horse business people here?”   That really made me realize how few people know about the horse business.   Since it has been my life, it always seemed like such a big world.

Since I have been marketing my programs there for so long, stepping into social media was natural.  Now, if only I was not on the PC for 10 hours a day….

The HTMYHB FB business page has been getting noticed. Not sure why, but I think it is because of our amazing community.  They are also the reason why we made it to the finals of the Social Media Examiners Top 10 FB Business Pages.  They nominated us. 

Now, we will be judged by the experts.  Wish us luck!

@kc_kreative Thank you so much, KC.  Please feel free to join in.  We are open to all business people. What a crazy week this is.  I had already planned the “HTMYHB Word of Mouth Contest” and am busy with creating Challenge Topics for the entries every day.  Over 300 new fans the past few days.  Not sure where they are coming from.  Could they all be coming as a result of being a finalist in the Social Media Examiner Top 10 Business pages?

I would think that a majority might have come from the blog entry. I count my “Like” as a result I also like Earthegy (?) – good posts too.
