Complete Guide to Facebook Email Setup (5 posts)

  • “For many people, Facebook is the main website for keeping in contact with others. Most of your friends are likely on Facebook, and you may sometimes use the website to keep in touch with these people via the messaging and chat features offered by the social network or even by posting to their wall. If Facebook is your hub for most of your contacts, you may want to consider setting up your email account with FB also, to simplify your contacts.”

  • I personally don’t think it’s a good idea to use the facebook.com address as a primary e-mail address, @voxsip  I think just having the Facebook messages forwarded to your current e-mail address is the way to go.

  • @voxsip I agree with @andrea-vahl facebook could too easily change it’s policies or features and you could loose that email account—and with it any saved correspondence.

  • I also agree to Jules’ and Andrea’s answer. Just as you shouldn’t replace your website by a Facebook page (but rather have the FB page additionally to your website), you shouldn’t replace your company related e-mail address with an FB e-mail account. You can influence the development of your company, but not the development of Facebook. Who knows for how much longer it will exist, what comes next that takes the crowd away to another platform or how FB might set up their rules&regulations to eventually take over the ownership of your e-mail contacts…
