Hi,
I have another question about Competitions and Promotion rules on Facebook.
Would the following scenario be within FB Terms and Conditions.
You paste a link to a competition as your status update which takes your followers to a website to enter but then ask your followers to ‘like’ and ‘share’ the competition with your friends?

@julietd that is a great question. I do not have much experience with competitions and promotions through Facebook and the rules associated. Much of the rules of Facebook in the past have seem to follow the interpretation one business has over another. To be “by the book” i would look to anyone in the clubs who may have experience running the promotions or competitions. @Andrea-Vahl do you know of any one in particular or do you have some guidance for Juliet?

@julietd You can definitely do that. You can’t require a share to be entered (you can require a Like) But you can certainly encourage sharing.
As long as you have the entry form as a separate thing (either a tab on Facebook or a website) and not a “Like us and you are entered” deal, you are set.
I wrote the Facebook contests section in the Facebook Marketing All-in-One for Dummies book so I have spent a lot of time understanding the rules Thanks @alexandrabriggs
