  • when i  go to  my  facebook business   page  there are   4  comments …all  in a row..i would like to  respond to each….but my  response apppears   is at the  bottom of  the posts……how  can i respond   under  the   comment im  responding to…..if i  click on their name it just  takes  me to their page….

one  comment might  be asking price….another  something totally different….I WANT TO  BE ABLE TO  REPLY  TO  EACH ONE….

    THX

  • @annfurnivall  – do @ then proceed to type their name (no space between @ & name so like on twitter)  – THEN for each comment respond after you’ve put in their name.  E.g. – @annfurnivall – Hope you find this helpful.                           @xyz – glad you ejoyed the post

    Hope this helps!  :) ~Devani

  • @annfurnival – for growing up with “off and on” you are doing a great job on your facebook page. it is colorful, has lots of personality and character, and you have a lot of likes! good for you! plus, you’re responding to all the comments, and using lots of photos. :)

  • Hi Ann @annfurnivall, I just checked out your page and i was surprised that the landing page is a ‘Wanted to buy’ page instead of a ‘Welcome’ page which is normally typical of a fanpage. I hope you don’t mind me making some suggestions that may be able to spruce things up a little for your fanpage. It’ll be good if you can create a ‘Welcome’ page as your landing page instead. In this welcome page, you incorporate an opt-in form to capture your visitors’ name and email so that you can create an email marketing campaign to promote your products and also to keep in constant contact with them. To ‘bride’ your visitors into giving their particulars in the opt-in form, you would’ve to give them a freebie in form of maybe a discount coupon or something of value to them.

To give you an idea of what i’m talking about, you can check out my fanpage at https://www.facebook.com/learnsocialmediasecrets

Remember to opt-in to grab your FREE fanpage templates and training video. Please let me know if you’ve any question.

    All the best.

  • @annfurnivall ~ Here’s how I do it (always from a browser as tagging doesn’t seem to work for me from my mobile).

    •  I begin typing the name of the person who commented and Facebook pulls up a suggestion for a tag, I click on the correct person and it adds the tag.  I shorten it to just their first name (do not try to change the first name or it breaks the tag).  Then I respond to their comment.

    •  I hold SHIFT and press ENTER ~ to create a new paragraph, heck, I may do it twice . . . but you get the picture.  Formatting looks so much nicer.

I repeat the above two steps until all comments are answered.  Then all of my customers have gotten a response and have been tagged so that Facebook will let them know that I saw and responded to their posts/comments.

  • @louisteoh thanks  louis…i  never see that page so i didnt know….  i just   see the  wall…..  hope you saw  my  2300  fans!!! i dont  want to look  like an idiot on  our  landing page!!!!  i will show  my web  person  your post..i think we had  some reason for  putting   that  wanted to  buy  out   there  but  forgot to take it off……  we already have  3500 on our email database..from collecting  emails in the store, but i  guess i could   put it on  faceboook  too…  thanks  so much!!!

@dedimason ….thank you thank you!!!  it worked on the first try…..can i put in one more question   ?….should i   switch  to   facebook as  greenoak  when i  do  this? my little  greenoak  logo   appears  in the comment  section  even if i am  still  under  my personal  name…

. its  wierd how its different  for  different  users…we have the  newest  windows i think..

  • @annfurnivall, you’re most welcome. Yes, i’m impressed with your fan base. Very well done. Let me know after you’ve redone your welcome page. i would love to take a look at it.

Your page logo will only appear when you reply as your page and not as your profile unless you’ve also used your company’s logo as your profile pic.

  • whether  i post as me or  as  greenoak  the  same greenoak  profile pic  shows up… ….but im the admin, there is one other…..maybe thats  the  reason..

.. @louisteoh will do on the welcome page…i  think  we have one  but  forgot  to  put it  back up….my  web  worker  does  all that…im so non tekkie…  i do  the posts and  can  manage  the pictures…and  try to ok  everything …i bought  grandma  marys  book and  trying to   learn more of   the  tekk parts…ugggg.i dont  even know how  to  see  our  welcome page…
