I am in the middle of changing companies and would like to keep my existing “Business Page” because of the followers and their interaction, but just change the name to a more generic name that can follow me. I made the mistake of including my companies name in my “Business Page” when I started it. Is there any way to change the name and keep the old content and followers???

You can now change the name of your Facebook Fan page that you previously couldn’t. You can do so by filling out the form at this link https://www.facebook.com/help/contact_us.php?id=262629790471076

You can change the name but you can do it only if you have less than 100 followers. Be aware that all of your followers will receive a notification telling them that the page change it’s name.

To select a vanity URL go to http://www.facebook.com/username  You can change your name now and have a direct link to your page like mine at http://www.facebook.com/Time2Mrkt. If you want to change from what you had before to something more generic, now is the time to do it.  You just have to make sure no one else is using your name already.  

Once your vanity URL is established you cannot change that.  You can change the headline at any time until you have reached 100 fans.
