Changing Posted Pictures in Facebook (14 posts)

Topic tags: images, pictures, posting
  • Once you have posted a picture to Facebook, is there a way to rotate it? I have a client who has pictures that need to be vertical and I am not sure if this is happening because of the new light box or other Facebook changes. He said the problem just started recently. Anyone experiencing the same thing or suggestions how I can fix it once they’re posted?
    Thanks

  • Once photos are uploaded you can go into them one-by-one and rotate the image. I have had the same issue recently and went in after posting to adjust. There are images to the side or underneath the image that show a rotation to horizontal or vertical, when you click those the adjustments are made.  @kathyweir

Thank you for your posting. I thought there was a way and I was trying to do it from the photo album. I went back in and clicked on the photo and it took me to the screen to make the changes. Appreciate you helping me out. I am going to make the changes for him now. Thanks again.

Well I just went in and rotated a few and it reverts back. It must me the new format. Any more suggestions.

  • @kathyweir That is odd that the pictures would revert back. I have not had that issue recently. Have you tried checking the help pages within facebook for answers?

@Andrea-Vahl do you know anything about this?

  • @kathyweir ~ sometimes it’s not the picture reverting back, it’s because your browser has the page “cached.”  Try cleaning your cache and see if it was your browser displaying the previous version of the page.

  • I agree with  @dedimason - try clearing your cache and seeing if that helps @kathyweir – I haven’t had that problem once I’ve changed them.  Let us know!

Thanks for this info. I had looked at this account on my iPad and it appeared some of the pictures had corrected. Will get back in there and take a look. Thanks for your suggestions and help.

  • Great I just went in and did all the changes and yes, user error! Thanks again for the enlightenment. Happy me and customer. Learned something new today.

  • @kathyweir ~ I’m so glad it worked for you!  I have my browsers set to always load a new page because I design our course web pages and cached views have frustrated the heck out of me in the past!

  • @dedimason

Another good idea. Will need to see how to set that up on Firefox. Thanks again.

  • @kathyweir ~ Here’s the Mozilla support article on that:  http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How%20to%20clear%20the%20cache?s=cache&r=0&e=sph&as=s#w_automatically-clear-the-cache

Thanks appreciate the link. Now that will help assist me in getting to it sooner. Appreciate it!
