  • Some club members have inquired about this.  I just read this email and thought it might be helpful to share

Facebook announced Wednesday that it is making it easier to change the username of a Facebook page. Before, page administrators would have to submit a request to change the username, but not anymore.

To do so, go to your Facebook page, click edit page, then update info, and basic information. From there, you can change the page’s username.

  • @mgoes Thanks for the heads up, Michael

  • @mgoes Great to know, thanks for the tip.

  • Thank you Michael, thats a keeper, until they make a change. :)

  • @mgoes Big Thanks!

  • @mgoes But does this apply to only changing page username? or includes page name as well, (i.e. Page’s title name or a company name by which we search in fb search box)? Because for pages having 100+ fans, it is impossible to change page name. Have you any idea on this?

  • @moinshaikh

What I understand from reading the article is that the username can be changed.  I did not find any reference to changing the page name.

@moinshaikh  You can actually request a Name change as well but when you go to the link shown in this picture, you will have to provide some proof of your new name.  A photo of your business, website address or other type of thing.  Not sure how strict they are on changing it.  Hope that helps!

  • @andrea-vahl Thanks!

  • They are not real strict on changing the name. In March the name of our company changed so I need to change the page name to reflect the same. It will ask for proof with a bill receipt or something. All I did was attach a photo of my new business card and it was approved. The whole process took about 2 weeks and you will get an email that is has been approved. Now if I could change the URL that would be nice….that still reflects the old company name.

All of our affiliates had to do the same with their pages and all were changed without problem.
