We all know we can convert fb profile into page which converts all the profile friends into page fans. But do you guys have any idea of how to merge an existing profile (say abc) with an existing page (say xyz)? The xyz page is maintained by the profile abc. That means abc is the admin of xyz, and thus scenario would be: ABC wants to get merged with XYZ by retaining name XYZ and all ABC friends would be added as fans to XYZ’s existing fan base.

The only way you could do this @moinshaikh is to convert the profile page into a Fan Page (and I would have another admin on that current fan page before you do this). Then I believe you could add the admin onto that converted page and say Merge Duplicate Pages.
So I say I “believe” all this because I have not done it myself. As I said, make sure you have another admin so you don’t leave the page dangling and I don’t know if it will all work in practice. If you are willing to experiment, we are willing to watch! LOL

I will definitely experiment after all i love adventure (i mean R&D) and i am not concerned with any damage or lose as i will be doing this all with my page and not with client’s page. You can merge fan pages if they have the same name, but FB is quirky – they seem to offer it and then drop it – so you need to see if the Merge works – keeping in mind that the page names have to be the same and that you can’t change page names after you hit 100 fans (or so – at least that’s the way it was at one point) so if the names are the same you’re all set. If they’re different and you have less than 100 fans, you could change the name and merge.
