I have tried a couple of free apps and none of them are working. Not sure if it’s the apps I am trying or what I am doing… I also thought that by doing this it might boost my SEO? Is that correct?

My personal favorite is Twitterfeed. Yes, I said Twitter.They have a very powerful RSS to Facebook and Twitter that use for everything when automation is required, or requested.

Welcome to my work of lost Facebook Pages. My latest clients page “Paint Stop Boom” has been lost for 2 weeks. Still no work from Facebook support.

I know this doesn’t help this thread but its really frustrating having a missing Facebook page..

Back to your question about Facebook helping SEO. The answer is, “NO”. Well kind of.. Let me explain, Google can not send spiders into Facebook. They are blocked. So Google can not see what is in your posts. Facebook does have a contract with Bing, but it still remains to be seen if Bing gives any FB SEO return.

What format is your blog? Does it have RSS? or do you just want to iframe the website?

It will not help your SEO unfortunately, because all Apps run in iframes.  This means, Google cant go in and crawl it… For SEO, you really need to get a google+ account :O  They are doing many things with their pages there, to get them listed into Google searches.

Once upon a time, facebook pages (Notes, content etc etc) had very high rankings…. but now, even the mighty facebook is slipping down in SEO for Google.  I think this is happening deliberately, because Google would rather promote “their” pages, rather than “fb” pages.  This is just a “heads up”.

@vincentedwards It is very important to understand why Facebook is “slipping” as you say in Google SEO. The fact is that Google cannot search Facebook. This has been an ongoing issue. They had an agreement with Twitter, but Twitter backed out. Now Facebook has teamed up with Bing for search results. The impact of this has not yet been seen. 

So to suggest that Google is the villain in the scenario is entirely incorrect. Just Google the key word “Facebook won’t let Google search through its data.” Facebook does not want to give Google access to its vast gold mine of user profiling. Google is not doing anything to Facebook, Facebook is doing it to themselves. Arguably a very wise choice in the war for total online domination between these two superpowers.

While checking on the search results for one of my domains that was pointed to a custom tab on facebook I noticed that Google does display what you have listed in the about section.

I just ran the search again and this is what came up

Google can see top level URL’s but cannot go inside, basically. Facebook prevents Google from indexing the majority of its content, much of this social activity can’t be seen by Google’s algorithms. Facebook does not allow content to be indexed, because there are many links off site, and you can’t just walk in and steal their revenue like that. It’s about ads and directing traffic. 

My point here is specifically addressing the statement by @vincentedwards , “It will not help your SEO unfortunately, because all Apps run in iframes.” While this is a true statement about content within iFrames, it is not the whole story. 

Thre are a number of things that you can do to ride the SEO fence in this war, and @scottmadden is correct to point this one out about finding his page P1. You will also notice that images and videos are indexed.

@scottmadden I went to the page you setup for @tiffanyclark , and it gives a secure warning in Internet Explorer, and does not show.  Theres still about 20% users out there who use IE…  (Just FYI) http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

As I stated before

To over come the secure warning issues she would need to add a SSL certificate her domain.
