The cheap and easy giveaways only bring in cheap fans that have no loyalty and respect for the brand. Buying likes has the trouble that when you do use promoted posts, you are reaching out to those fans’ friends, and those fans may not exist or even actually want to see something from the brand.
I’ve found blogging and distribution to be a great way to bring in likes, by including the like code iframe from facebook in the middle of a post with a call to action to like me on Facebook.
