  • Fascinating study from Group M Next via WARC (great resource). While exposure is down, apparently engagement has increased.

Have you been tweaking your and your clients’ strategies over the past few months?

  • whats the  good advice ?  i  didnt see much there….good  report on the situation tho…

..its such a bad  deal for some of us who  rely on   tempting pictures of our  brand…,  pictures   are down  by huge percent  and  thats   the most popular thing  for so many of us..and  wide exposure   served us  very well…

@kc_kreative whats  your  best advice?   what are  you telling  your  clients?

  • How can those of us marketing an intangible service best use Facebook? I’m marketing a certification review course via Facebook because I know my ideal customers (younger business professionals who are looking to advance their careers) congregate on Facebook.  I want to do more than just blatant promotion and links to articles. I already have an advantage in marketing via social media because hardly any competitors use social media. I just don’t want to look like an finance guy making a weak attempt to market via social media.

  • I would try to experiment with different posts whether it be articles, links, promotions etc… just to see what type of interaction you get from those who are following you. Since you know that the majority of users coming to your page are looking to advance their careers, I would highly suggest you have readily information available at all times. This doesn’t mean you should just put up a link and have them do the work, but instead try to find out FAQ and end their concerns/questions at your page. Building this relationship will not only help out your business but also keeps you active on FB. I’m just grazing the top but I hope this gives you some sort of an idea. So again, I would experiment and figure out what your users want. Cheers!

  • Hi @dallon-christensen, what @brando-hills said is right. Finding out the core needs of your customers will help build rapport.

Your course may be something of value to them, but that’s not really what will motivate some of them to check out your services. They will want to know if the person (i.e. you) behind the service will be supportive or just wants to sell his/her services.

Join groups where these people hang out on facebook, and offer advice in any way you can; join the conversations and from there send them to your page if they need further information.
