    I heard of it and think if it as a newer/smaller LinkedIn

    I got several invites, too, and finally installed the app but I haven’t maintained my profile. I’m already using LinkedIn (and Xing, since this is big in Austria/Germany) and am not ready to maintain a third career network, to be honest…

    I’ve used Branchout and connected with people that are not on LinkedIn. It seems like just another way to network with people online. Since there aren’t a ton of updates or anything, I don’t think it hurts to be on there.

    @annfurnivall Yes, it’s mostly for job searching – you can also recommend people.  But I don’t really care for it because once you join can be very spammy.  Sometimes inviting your friends, without you really knowing how it works or how to turn off notifications.  I think LinkedIn is better for job searching but if you are looking for a job, it doesn’t hurt to look in multiple places.

    thanks …thats about    what i  thought it  was…im not looking  for a job and sure wouldnt  want to burden my friends, so i  guess i will just skip it….and   go to linked in  if i ever get  the urge….i do  sell wholesale  soi  knwother is probably something for me out there if i tried hard wnough..

    i just  dont want to   spend  time on   lots of   convos  with people who  dont need my  furniture!!!  lol
