Branch Out App on Facebook (10 posts)

  • Hi everyone!
I have received a number of friend requests to use Branch Out on Facebook- I am wondering how do you use it? What is the value in it, other than connecting with people- how is it different than LinkedIn?
Currently, Facebook is only used on my end for personal relationships- I have yet to venture into Facebook- I am primarily using LinkedIn, Twitter and Pinterest. And, my hands are FULL! lol- I tried Google+ but it seemed like too much of a learning curve for me  and I have let it ‘be’.
    Any thoughts on Branch Out?
    s,

  • @suzannepetryshyn I blocked it because I had so many invites. I don’t have the value of sub-setting in FB.

  • ya, i did the same- i did add it, took a look around and then figured LinkedIn is better for what i am doing and what i want to project- my personal FB page is for family and friends who we live away from and that is the intention of why we have it. thanks for the post.

  • I’ve gotten invites for Branch Out and have accepted them, but beyond that haven’t done anything with it.  I don’t see it as anywhere near as useful as LinkedIn.

  • @suzannepetryshyn I’m glad you asked the question. I only recently discovered Branch Out and was curious about it.

  • I dont see the point of it.  It seems to be like a job search system, which does not interest me right now.

  • Yes this app is extremely spammy.  And I agree, I don’t see the point in it unless you are actively searching for a job.  Your profile isn’t as visible as LinkedIn and so you aren’t getting any good traffic from the app.

  • Like everyone else, I have not had any positive experience with it and stick with LinkedIn.

  • I am on Branch Out and lot of people are connected to me but I honestly do not think about it unless someone adds me to their network.  I have helped a couple of people that I know locally via the app.

  • I had Branch Out for awhile and finally decided it wasn’t as useful as Linkedin…
