I love the fact that you can customize your cover…a huge ‘billboard’ opportunity for brand awareness on the new personal pages for Timeline. Are there any other features that you like to promote business in some ways?Thanks for the help-Charlyn

@charlynshelton-socialmediainterpreter for business I do like a customized fan page (graphics and feel of the company). Unfortunately I’ve not taken the time (as it’s not a huge priority amongst my other projects) to master and execute this for my clients.
I also like a custom welcome page, however I’m still undecided about the “Fan Gate” option as I like the idea of being totally transparent. I suppose different industries would have different thoughts/uses for the Fan Gate though.

I think that @charlynshelton-socialmediainterpreter is talking about the personal profile new Timeline, @dakotalocal. On of my favorite new features is the larger images. I don’t like the way things appear in the News Feed as I’ve lost a lot of connections with Pages. But I guess I will just have to make Lists.

I’m not sure yet if I like it.. the billboard idea works, I suppose, if you use you page only for business, which I do not. Sure, I comment about business stuff on my personal page but it really is a personal page for me so the billboard is an OK feature for me.
I am still unaccustomed to reading in 2 columns and I’m not sure that I am seeing everything that is there. I might be, it just seems to take some getting used to.
I’d love to hear about how others are using it, tricks of the page, etc.

I like the larger images but don’t like the fact that images accompanying links are still small. It makes links harder to find amongst all that visual stimuli. I would like to have the ability to rearrange what shows up on top.

And yes @Diane Skullr, the two column thing takes some getting used to. It would be great to be able to toggle to a one column layout.

@Andrea Vuhl, The lists are now called ‘smart lists’ in the new Timeline….but pretty much the same idea. If you lost connections it could be because of lack of engagement. Facebook is dropping people from your News feeds if you haven’t had interaction with them. You can also choose to eliminate people that Faceobook has decided to put into your new feed too.
