What does it take to get a facebook page banned/removed? I have noticed when people post the MEAN pages and they don’t have many fans, it is easy to get those pages banned/removed if you get a lot of people to report them.
What happens as a business owner & you have competition who wants to ban their competition? Does facebook have a general rule such as a certain # of reports compared to LIKES? I have heard of people having very successful pages and they are unaware of why their page was deleted.

They don’t offer a specific number but they do keep a record of all reports about a Page and will take them into consideration before banning a Page. It has to be something major and/or in violation of their TOS.

@kim-olive Yes they don’t really tell us exactly but like @iamconsulting said it usually has to be something major that they are doing against Facebook terms – spamming, violating a policy etc.

There is a page that uses our name in their vanity URL along with the word “spam” and gets on the first page of a google search all the time. Facebook did take down all of our images they were using, but won’t ban or take down the page. We tried to explain that by using our name, people think they are liking our page without reading through the page all the way.
Do you know of anyone who has been successful with that process? Or is there a blog post somewhere that has some good advice about next steps? We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is doing some great work, but because of one nasty person, they are undermining our mission.
