Are your Facebook Likes genuine? (8 posts)

  • Recently TC carried an article regarding fake likes on Facebook. Read the article //What do you think?

  • interesting link….

my likes are genuine   since they  come from  customers and  their  connections   not  ads……..   too  bad limited run is  withdrawing  and not  trying for   plain old  organic   use of  facebook…..a fan  base of organic   connections is   pretty nice!!!!

  • I think for the most part is easy to tell the difference between organic and paid or solicited support. It’s like cheating when playing a board game when you were a kid. Even if everyone else thinks you’re a winner, you know it’s not real and that doesn’t feel good.

  • I understand how Ghost Friends clicking on your ads could be expensive but I am wondering how it effects your Insights. If you have over a thousand ‘Fake Friends’ who don’t share or comment on your posts wouldn’t that adversely effect your relevancy in the Facebook bots ‘eyes’?I took over an acct from another SEO co. only to discover the Fans were 90% vapor. Should I go in and confirm all friends and delete those?

  • Friend of mine who is a data junkie did a review of server logs on a campaign we ran together — his number was that 25% seemed fishy.

  • @ellenpartal thats a hard  question……  if it   would leave them  with  4 or 500  likes it wouldnt  be  too bad….if it pushed thelikes down to   12  well  that  woudnt be  so good…..  maybe  do it   slowly…..

vapor  likes would  sure  mess up  your  connecting  tracking…….

  • annoying to read that a bot may be generating your likes.

  • All the fake likes and follows are annoying to those getting them genuinely since people are too often herd animals and follow the bigger packs… but genuine likes generate genuine business, so let’s keep our heads held high and keep ‘em real…
