Apps worth paying for? (11 posts)

Topic tags: Facebook App, paid app
  • Hey guys! 2011 was THE year for Facebook trial and error for me, but it’s a new year and it’s time to get serious.

When it comes to apps, I know there are free versions of apps, free near-equivalents, and some that range from pennies to fortunes.

Which apps do you use for Facebook that you think are worth shelling out that extra cash for?

  • Great question, @valissa.  I’m such a freebie lover that I don’t pay any monthly app fees.  I definitely think the Contest apps are worth paying for.  What do other people think?

  • @valissa , I am using tabsite which is great. you can choose the plan that best fits your needs.

I advise you to follow the topic , what is your favourite facebook application in this club , it will help you so much.
    Best,

  • I’m developing apps and scenarious fot it’s :) Soo I’m definitely think that apps are worth the extra cash :) But this is opinion of man who live from selling them so maybe is not so relevant ;)

  • Haha excellent point, @leopoldpanovi! I guess the bigger question for me is, what is it about certain apps that makes them worth paying for when there are so many free alternatives out there? And which ones are they? (aside from yours, of course! ;) )

  • @andrea-vahl I definitely agree — contests are way too messy to try to do without a proper, paid app.

@waelalhusseini – Thanks! I was reading that thread before but it didn’t really cover this specific question. What is your take on Tabsite? What is it that makes it better than other free options?

  • @valissa try to make a deal with developer to pay them for every new fan in time of app. And he will do his best to get you a lot of fans :)

Uniqe apps are that which are most viral. This is the only recipe for success.

  • @valissa Tabsite has a friendly user interface which enables anyone to handle with easily, many excellent widgets are also available, professional technical support, excellent how to videos , enormous clients base. Is that enough ? ? ? :)

@leopoldpanovi as an app developer, please let me know what is the best application to use for e-commerce , i would like to embed a tab that enables fans to buy online which also include the payment option. And again aside from yours, of course! ;)

  • I like where your head is at  @leopoldpanovi :)

    @waelalhusseini I guess so!

  • So far, I am using the free version of Pagemodo, Involver’s YouTube app, Payvment (f-commerce app), Static HTML, and ContactMe. Not paying for any of those. That said, I am thinking of running a few sweepstakes and will most likely end up paying for Wildfire Apps (great for offering coupons and running contests).

  • I am paying for PostPlanner. It feels worth it to me. Is there a better freee alternative?
