    is  anything new happening on  this  issue?  [ the  lower  reach of  photos on  facebook]……any  good  info  out there  from the  experts  on the  best ways to deal with it?       i read  from a lot of places    when this  first happened   but havent  heard much lately…..its  sure important   to my page!!!!  i hate it and am  trying to go with the flow…and add a few  more promoted posts and   some  more  text  only  posts…. still they like  the pictures  best…so?????  

    what are  you telling your  clients who   use  facebook  .?

    I’ve done some testing on this issue this week @annfurnivall and while I found the photo posts had one quarter of the Reach of the text posts, the photo posts still got way more shares, comments and Likes.  So I think we are still going to post photos even thought there reach is down from before. 

    I’m working on a little spreadsheet to show our tracking and draw some conclusions.

    Same here, photo posts are goldmine for us. Although we’ve noticed that there’s a bit of decrease in reach, but still it drives better engagement. You just have to ensure the quality of the photo post.

    ..but i lost a   big percent in  reach on  my pictures   when this  change   came  thru…. ..

    Call me crazy but if shares, comments & Likes aren’t driving Reach to the extent of text posts we could all post gibberish as long as it’s text and get more reach because of the weight given to text only edges? Obvious I’m tongue in cheek but isn’t that’s what being said by all our own marketing results?

    mitch  what is bothereing  me  is   how  good my picture posts  used to be  compared to now….and in this  new  reality i  guess my hope is that  a good  text post  will keep some in connection  that were  being left out of the picture recievers…. @mitch-rezman

    I say if pictures are what your fans want, don’t stray from them just because of the smaller reach.  You may just need to post more to try to reach more people.  Try using the targeting feature to spread your posts around and make sure the same people are not seeing repeated posts.
