Hi, I have only just joined this group, but think it is a great support and help for many starting out in social media, like me!I have a question that I hope you can help me with. I am setting up a fan page for a friend, who is an artist. She requires a shop on her facebook page. I have been looking round – but the options don’t seem great, either having to pay, or not appropriate for selling paintings. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

If she is on Etsy, @jenny-frances they have an option to integrate your Etsy shop into a tab.  Payvment is free and integrates with Paypal.  Any e-commerce solution will have some percentage taken with the merchant account for sure.  Ecwid is free for 10 products or less.

You can put on on there but there seems to be a trend that a lot of retailers are closing their Facebook stores because they are not getting the returns that they desired.
