365 Reasons To Quit Smoking Brainstorm (7 posts)

  • Recently I have given up smoking to improve my over all quality of life, yay! Whew whoo! With that being said, I would like to get a braintorming session going, listing all the positive effects that quitting smoking can have on any ones life and all the negative effects of continuing to smoke. I would like to generate 365 different positive and negative responses. Once the first reply has been submitted I will continue to lead until we have hit 365 total positive and negative comments. Feel free to use this information any way you like.

  • Example 1) If I quit smoking today I would have extra money to pay for an exclusive gym membership every month…

  • I understand that when you quit, you need to talk about it, lol, so I completely get your reason for this forum. So though I’m not quite sure if it’s appropriate or has anything to do with social media or internet marketing, I wish you luck and offer you my tip…

If you quit smoking today, you will still be alive to walk your daughter down the aisle at her wedding or stand beside your son at the alter, as well as have the time to press your face against the glass, shed a tear of joy, and watch your first grandchild stretch and yawn and kick and scream and smile and sleep while his Mama gets some well deserved rest. You’ll also get to feel your grandchild’s tiny fingers wrap around yours while he coos and makes other sweet baby sounds.

Having children late always makes me wonder if I’ll be there for those precious events in their lives. Smoking definitely stacks the odds against being there in person.

  • I quit 4 years ago after suffering a serious stroke. (I’m still craving for one at times).

Having to live with the physical damage makes all the theories about how it relaxes you not worth it in the end. Contrary, it has put a huge damper on my productivity levels.

Give it your best shot; and good luck!

  • @theodoresturos Being connected with city’s non-profit/charity hospital, i strongly agree with @atlantarobin and @voxsip. We often run awareness campaigns in the city re. side effects of smoking and ways to quit it. And now i am going to start online campaign on website and on our facebook page re. same.
I would give just a small and simple reason to include in your list of 365.
    “QUIT SMOKING OR QUIT LIVING…”

  • @atlantarobin “How to quit smoking using social media” is the purpose of this post :) Thought that if we came up with enough content, someone could use it for their day to day updates on Facebook/Twitter.

  • Hi  @theodoresturos – I don’t know if this post relates to Facebook specifically.  If you are looking to generate blog post ideas, you can possibly brainstorm with the Blogging Club but asking everyone to post 365 individual ideas is probably above and beyond the idea of helping you brainstorm.

I’m going to close this thread and if you have any questions, definitely send me a message – thanks!
