WP Candy – The Quarterly Magazine (8 posts)

  • Hello Folks.

I first heard about the premiere of the magazine on twitter and subscribed sometime last year before the first issue was mailed.  Surely, I’m not the only person here who subscribes to the WP Candy Quarterly.

I dearly love this magazine. Of course, I only have one issue in hand as it is new this year and I’ve only NOW set down to read it through and through. Heh.

I’d like to discuss some of the articles with like minded folks but am not sure where to start. I’m also going back to join their forums and discussions, which I have not had time to do until now.

1 – Do you have your copy?

2 – What struck you as really informative?

3 – Did you have a favorite article?

4 – Did you learn anything that was new to you?

  • @supereb Nice find – thanks for sharing!  :)

  • Hi Kristi @kristi-hines

They accept article submissions too – something to remember. :D

  • @supereb

Thanks for the tip. Although $12 per issue does sound a bit spendy. Is it worth it? Wish they’d put an article or two online for free so we can preview it.

I don’t know if it would be worth the $12.00 to many people as there are NO “how to” articles.  I thought that would be what it was about as “candy” intones the sweet stuff as in little known fixes and what not. Although not what I expected (at all) I enjoyed reading the articles

What I really love is that there are NO ADS whatsoever. You get content only. Since they don’t sell advertising – the $12.00 price makes more sense.

BUT, if you’re looking for “how tos” you’ll be disappointed.

    :)

  • @supereb  Oooo looks so cool! Did you already get your copy?

  • Yep – Hot off the presses a little while back.  Sorry for lateness here – Easter was a very busy time. I’m just now getting back into the swing of things!

    :D

  • Actually I should be getting a second issue soon too.
