I have a single user Wordpress blog.
I have just filled in the details of the Wordpress Bio, can anyone tell me how to make the Bio show up at the bottom of all the old and all the new posts.
Thanks
Your theme has to support it. If it doesn’t you can use a plugin such as “WP About Author” to do it for you.
@david-easter Depends on the theme. I have mine coded into the Thesis custom_functions.php file – there’s an example of code at http://line25.com/tutorials/how-to-create-an-author-info-section-in-wordpress that might help, but it would also be easier to just use a plugin like @howwhowhen suggested. There are a lot of different options listed on the WordPress plugin site (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=author+bio) – they may just depend on what theme you are using. Look for something that has screenshots of the resulting design, lots of downloads, lots of reviews, and something that has been updated as recently as possible.
Hi Howie @howwhowhen
Thanks for that, I will go to the Studiopress Forum and ask in there if their Lifestyle Theme supports the Wordpress Bio.
Before I do that is there anything I can do on Wordpress to see if their bio will load with the Lifestyle Theme.
@david-easter If you’re a StudioPress theme then there should be an option in your profile settings to enable this.
“Enable Author Box on this User’s Posts?”Just look for that and check the box. It should show your bio after your posts.
@howwhowhen Found it and enabled the Author Box.
One more thing. The Author Box is there but the link in it did not activate.
If you go to http://www.cannonelectrical.com/blog/electric-space-heaters/#comments you will see what I mean.
Have you any ideas about that.
@david-easter Seems like a typo or syntax issue with your link. Try this instead.
