    I have used WooThemes in the past. If you are interested in designing your own in an easy to use app, look into Artisteer. I recently started using it and paid for a licensed version. Easy to design and then you export into a Wordpress theme zip file. Upload it, activate it…simply.

    You can also design for other platforms like Joomla and frames as well.

    I use Thesis. I like it because it allows you to create your own unique layout.

    I have used and like these themes as well…

    1. For a basic blog I have used (Woothemes)
    2. To build opt-ins, sales, and launch pages, I have used (OptimizePress)

    I guess it comes down to your blogging goals.

    You’ll find that your blog will take on many changes over time. As you grow and change so will your blog. I think have gone through 7 or 8 different themes to date. :)
