Here are few which I like the most for my social media blog http://sovedo.com
Related Posts Thumbnails: Showing related posts thumbnails under the post.Socialize: good for adding social sharing buttons to your blog postsAuthor Spotlight:Sidebar widget to display author profile on a post page.
I also like Disqus but because of some unknown reason it doesn’t show up on my new blog posts.

  • @isomesh I like Custom About Author because it puts the author bio at the end of every post. Use the rel=author tag and link to your Google+ profile to boost your SEO.

SchemaFeed, because schemas are the next new SEO markup tool. They will be the future of effective SEO.

WPTouch because it renders my blog into a mobile-only version that looks gorgeous on my Android phone.

Better Related Content because it puts related posts at the end of every blog post. That has helped lower my bounce rate by about 7 – 10%.

  • @isomesh |I like the All In One SEO plugin – free. But I do a lot with iThemes Builder (which allows you to create many different layouts for your WordPress site and pages). But it’s not free. But affordable.  Heather :D

  • @isomesh – My new fav is (Grand FIAGallery) Photo Gallery Creator –   http://photogallerycreator.com

It made easy work out of inserting a slick gallery for a client and I just started scratching the surface, also does sound and video. All in One SEO is a must for me. Will have to try some of the above mentioned.

  • One of my favorites is the AWeber Web Forms plugin.

It allows me to quickly see how many email list subscribers I have, how many signed up today and yesterday. It also allows me to easily place subscription forms on my blog.

You know the old saying, the money’s in the list and I do everything I can to get people to sign up to my list.

  • All in one seo looks interesting to me. Will have to try it. Thanks all :)

  • @howwhowhen

Thanks for sharing the AWeber forms plugin. I use AWeber but wasn’t aware of that one.

My “can’t live without” plugin is WordPress Editorial Calendar — lets me see at-a-glance what’s scheduled, and drag-and-drop blog posts to different dates.

  • I like the Yoast SEO plugin. Next to being able to fill out all relevant SEO ‘stuff’, it also suggests on improvements which can be a big help!

  • +1 for WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin

  • My all time favorite, and in my opinion a necessity, is the All In One SEO Plugin.  Right behind that is the W3TC for cache’ing and speed.  And then Google Analyticator for being able to view Google Analytics data right in the dashboard.

  • I used to love the All In One SEO until I used Yoast SEO for the first time. I absolutely love it.

I like Login Lockdown for security reasons.

I use Executable PHP Widget so I can customize my sidebars.

I also really like Contact Form 7 because it lets me customize my forms with such detail.

  • I just can’t make up my mind between Google Analytics & Wordpress.com Stats

I’m not going to belittle the importance of SEO in maintaining a blog, but measuring& monitoring it’s activity is just as crucial isn’t it?
