Where’s the Like Button? (6 posts)

  • I have a two-year-old Wordpress blog. I have often noted that my followers email their comments to me. Some even call me. Not too many comment online, but that’s not what concerns me.

Today, a loyal reader, who often emails her comments to me, called to tell me how much she likes this morning’s post. I said, “Well, if you like it so much, could you do me a favor and click the Like Button.” She started looking for the Like button. On my Mac Safari browser, the Like Button is at the bottom of the post, right beneath the Sharing options. She finally found the like button on her PC, but she first had to click comment to make the Like Button appear at the bottom of the Comment Box. That’s pretty hard for people to find!

No wonder no one likes me. Boohoo.

Does anyone know why there would be two different positionings for the Like Button on the same Wordpress theme? Is there any way of controlling where the Like Button goes?

  • @judithgotwald What is your website?

  • @judithgotwald I see it just fine. I would be more concerned with getting Facebook Likes than the WordPress likes though. :)

  • Thanks, I really don’t care about “likes” anywhere. I just wondered why one person couldn’t find the like button without clicking the comment box.
I have no interest in Facebook, although I try to keep up with it. I’m a blogger at heart.
But thanks for looking at this.

  • @judithgotwald I found the like button at the bottom of each post beneath the “share this” section in Mozilla Firefox browser.
