Where to locate your blog (5 posts)

I am working with a client that currently has a website and a Facebook page. Their IT guy set up a blog, with no content, through WordPress. My thoughts are to have blogs located on their website, post a link to Facebook and promote tighter integration between the two sites. What are your thoughts?

@kathyweir Yep, agreed with you, I think integrated WP with your clients’ website is the right thing to do. However, no matter which way they decided to go for, still, the most important thing your client needs to do is to consistently produce and update the fresh content to their blog.

You are correct, incorporating the blog into the website is a better way to go.
When you say “through WordPress” do you mean a wordpress.com account or a stand alone wordpress platform from wordpress.org? The fast answer can be determined from the domain name.

I will be meeting with the IT guy, he kinda does his own thing and doesn’t understand the direction the company is going in. Just needed some validation I am on the right track. Appreciate the feedback.

@kathyweir You definitely want the blog on your main domain and post links to it for your Facebook community. Having blog posts on your main domain strengthens the domain in terms of search value and traffic!
