Hi everyone!
I want to start with Video Blogging, but I really don’t know what to buy. Could somebody recommend me what to do?
I want to have a really good audio, so, I will need a tie-clip microphone, right? But, for example, I want to buy the Sony HDR-CX190 Handycam… but it hasn’t have audio input. Most of the handycams doesn’t have it, so it’s impossible to have a good audio with all them.

What are your suggestions?

@fjsanz I have a sony HD recorder with 5.1 and a mic. They will run you around $500.00.
Canon has one you can get around $300.00. Wireless mics will probably run about $100.00.
If you’re running Windows, you can use Windows Live Movie Maker to edit it.
Also, you can get a mic and do screen shots. Lots of great software out there. I prefer CamStudio. It’s open source and free. Lots of paid options out there as well.

The first thing you have to do with video production is what is the intent of your final video.
Will it require a greenscreen?
HD quality video or is it just for lower quality
What is the sound quality requirements
What type of lighting do i need?
Will it be a studio in my basement or do i need to be on location?
Let me know what you are trying to accomplish and your budget and all tell you exactly what you need?

Thanks @brianmcf. I am not quite ready to actually produce a video myself yet – but I will come back to your blog post when I do and ask for help.
I would be interested in your advice on what type of equipment I would use to record the session though. I am a mac user.

imovie is the simply way for editing. It just depends on your encoding requirements for the final output source you want to use it for.

I asked to one of our client, that has a lot of experience on making video. I told him that I don’t want to spend more than $1000 because I just want to make a test.
He did me this Low-budget list:
Total cost: $741.-
He told me that this is a great equipment to start.

Better Idea , rent the camera until you can afford it. Everything else on your list is what i use myself, except the reflectors. The US budget of $741… here in Argentina it would probably be something like $2,500 to $3,500. Here electronic things are very expensive!
So, do you recommend to go ahead with this list?
