I am fairly new to blogging, and wanted to find out what the best SEO software to use. I’ve heard that Market Samurai was worth looking at. What are you using?

We use WordPress SEO by Joost van der Valk and Better Related Content to put related links at the bottom of each post. There really is no “better” or “worse” SEO plugin — as long as they do titles, descriptions, and tags, that’s all you need.

@deniserubright If you’re looking for a plugin to use on WordPress, there are a lot of great ones like All in One SEO, Platinum SEO, and WordPress SEO as @erikdeckers mentioned. If you need something with more options, you may want to look into ones like Scribe SEO that actually help you figure out the SEO elements of your content.
As far as Market Samurai, I have used it in the past and liked it. There’s a great review about it here: http://www.trafficgenerationcafe.com/market-samurai-review/ - she’s someone I’d trust to be open and honest about the product plus she includes a good tutorial on how to use it.

I used to use SEO Ultimate but then it kept crashing my blog. I am with @EricDeckers and have Wordpress SEO by Yoast. It’s really simple, great and I have had ZERO problems because it’s updated pretty regularly so that it’s compatible with the latest WP

@deniserubright I use SEO by Yoast or All in One SEO. I really like the Yoast plug-in and I trust it’s source. Which is very important. I know it will be updated regularly.

WordPress SEO by Yoast has more functionality than All In One SEO. e.g. it tells you exactly how many characters you have set in your title and description, it will analyse your page for you and give you a green light if it’s good to go, or red if it needs improvement.
