Triberr vs. JustRetweet (13 posts)

  • Which in your opinion gets you more traffic? Is there more value in Triberr because you get to engage and build relationships with other bloggers?

Although, I joined Triberr over a month ago, I haven’t been active on it as yet. I signed up for justretweet.com at the same time and found it a lot simpler plus there’s no learning curve involved. I don’t have time for both and am looking forĀ  advice and feedback on which one in your opinion is worthy of spending the time and effort.

  • @gazalla Not familiar with justretweet that you mention, perhaps I will check it out. As for Triberr, not obvious. I have been trying to invite you a few times, but the system doesn’t work. And I believe you had sent me an invite as well, but I was never able to confirm or accept it. Grrr!

Having said that, it’s been pretty good so far, and I have a community of folks retweeting my blog posts, so it helps referring traffic to my blog, which is the intent, right?

But you are right, time and effort are to consider, and these two come in short supply these days with everything else… ;-)

  • I’m on Triberr and whilst it hasn’t made me rich yet it seems a bit of a no brainer so far.  I’d say it takes about 15 minutes per day, slightly more if I comment on the blogs I share.  Hardly a big time investment for me.

Suffice to say if/when I have my own tribes to grow and manage it might take more time, but that’s a general part of blogger outreach so not a bad thing.

  • Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are right, Frederic. Initially, I tried inviting you and a few others on Triberr and the system didn’t allow me. I’m not sure if a few people even got my invites. That’s when I tried justretweet and instantly got retweets.

I’m glad to know that it’s working for you, Adi. I think that I’ve been too hasty to write it off and will give it a try again.

  • Hi all,

I would like to introduce a new way to achieve even better result’s. I myself have joined Triberr but have not used it yet. What I am referring to is content curation. If any of you are creating original content let me know and I will be happy to explain more. I also started a topic on it here on SME.

  • @gazalla All I know about JustRetweet is what I’ve read in this review of it.

    http://www.growmap.com/justretweet/

The blog owner in this case is a huge fan of promoting other bloggers, so if she likes it, then it’s a good system.

Triberr, on the other hand, has some new things in the works, so I wouldn’t leave them just yet until you see what they have in store.  :)

  • @kristi-hines Thanks for your feedback. I read the growmap.com link that you sent and Gail recommends JustRetweet for bloggers and small businesses.

It looks like both JustRetweet and Triberr have a lot to offer to bloggers in terms of retweets and traffic.

My only challenge, I think, is one of balance. With all the social networks out there (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, StumbleUpon, Reddit…….), it’s difficult to decide which to stay with and which to let go…In my ideal world, I would keep up with them all:))

  • @gazalla  It really depends on where your audience is.  Even if you get in a tribe with strong members, if their followers aren’t your audience, then the traffic will be empty (non-converting).  Same with the social networks – sure it’s nice to get a huge traffic spike with StumbleUpon, but if that traffic doesn’t subscribe, sign up to your mailing list, comment, or buy your products/services, then they’re not good for much.  Just something to think about.  :)

  • @kristi-hines That’s a great point. One I really need to consider as I’m navigating my way through the various networks. So the question I need to ask myself before investing my time should always be: Am I reaching my target audience?

Thank you for sharing this piece of advice. I’m definitely going to do this moving forward.

  • I haven’t heard of JustRetweet. I’ll be checking it out. As for Triberr, I’m really loving it so far and I’m super excited about the new features rolling out soon. :) I like how much interaction I have with other bloggers. It’s worked really well for me.

  • I am on triberr but not as involved with it. I just retweet. And I will have to check out that one you mention justrewtweet. I’ve not heard of it before.

  • Can I be honest here? I’ve tried all of these sites and Triberr is a pain to use. But in reality are any of these sites benefiting your blog? Probably not. It’s not targeted traffic with potential buyers then why bother?

  • @gazalla   @jamericanspice @scottayres @rachelannpoling @kristi-hines @adigaskell
I’m with Adi. I’m on triberr and once you have set it up you only have to spend perhaps 5 minutes a day to approve/tweets other’s blog posts. Of course the more you blog the more you get out of it.

As for not reaching your target audience my response is this. Would I rather have my blog posts tweeted to my 3,000 followers or to my 3,000 followers PLUS the other 2,693,000 twitters who follow my tribe members. I guarantee you that between the 2,693,000 other followers there are twitters interested in my social media blog. I get between 50 – 100 new twitter followers per day partly due to my involvement with triberr.

Yes sometimes there are hickups because Dan and Dino are very innovative and always trying to improve. What’s wrong with that? It costs NOTHING to be a member of Triberr so a little hassle doesn’t bother me at all. Triberr works 99.5% of the time and that works for me.

As Adi said – it’s really a no brainer.

I’ll look into justretweet. Thanks for the info
