How much time do you allot for writing blog posts?
It never ceases to amaze me as much time a blog post can take to write. And sometimes it’s not only the writing and research that is time consuming but it’s the entering into wordpress, linking, re-sizing images.
From start to finish, it’s not uncommon for a blog post to take several hours. How much time are you spending on posts?

@debbie-hemley My posts take anywhere from an hour and a half (simple, under 600 word posts) to six hours (which end up 2,000+ words). That includes research, images, formatting, and spell checking.

I take about 1 – 2 hours usually but I always do short blog posts. I find hat doing a video blog breaks it up a bit. It takes me just as long but I enjoy the variety of using different media.

It usually takes 2-3 hours on each blog post. I wish I could trim down that time. does anyone have a good time management tips for bloggers?

My best advice in re: time management and blogging is to sit down and draft out a series of posts at one sitting. I find I get into a rhythm and the ideas come a lot more easily.
When it’s time to post, I just fine tune with tags, categories, and a pic and it’s done within 15 minutes.

@debbie-hemley It can take me anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on what I’m blogging about. And I agree, the time it takes to add into WordPress, add links, and upload and resize photos have to be factored in as well.
