Storify : where to post it? (6 posts)

  • Hi all, I wanted to discuss “Storify” and get some expert feedback. I don’t know where to post my questions.

  • @marilia-coutinho This is probably the best forum. :)

  • I’ve never started a story on Storify, but it does seem like fun!
@marilia-coutinho Have you already used it?

  • I have created a couple, take a look: http://storify.com/mariliacoutinho

Well… That’s why I started this thread. Storify was created as a tool for writers and journalists. No wonder I fell in love with it. It’s just too cool not to use. You can also use a pluggin and integrate it into your WP website, so… What can I say? It’s a writer’s dream: you collect all the info into one story, than you can go back (if you need to or want to) and use the material you collected for a longer piece.

I have no idea what to expect from it. Besides the fact that if feeds good content into your blog, will it ever generate any other benefit? There’s no gossiping (which is what drives most traffic into any social media), it’s not that interactive, it’s really about constructing content, so… I don’t know.

  • Love Storify. Also, try Spundge. It may be even better as the control you have over that feed. Both are cool.

The big benefit I saw in Storify was that it helped quickly propel a video and website article quickly to first page SERPs last Spring. Since then, I ALWAYS include a Spundge and a Storify story in the little knowledge wheels I build and share. This work very well for affiliate marketing also, as long as you promote something that is related to the topic and never bring it up at all. Just let a nice quiet tastely addor link to the product speak for you. But the story you’re storifying or the keywords your spundging MUST relate.

  • Sorry, folks… I’m sitting outside and it’s cold, so I’m wearing, and typing, in gloves. So please forgive the typos…
