So I have been having fun writing a blog on my pregnancy that has all of a sudden taken off and been a hit with FTM (first time moms) everywhere – even outside of my facebook friends so I want to make my wordpress blog official. The first thing I think I need to do is purchase my own domain – but wanted some advice from the pros on how to do this? You can view and give your opinions of it here:

Go to a domain registrar like GoDaddy.com or NetSol.com. Buy a domain that is easy to remember and easy to say. Your name would be the best one. Can you get StephanieBarnhart.com? I think ForTheLoveOfFootballFoodAndMotherhood.com is going to be waaaay to hard.
Plus, as you grow in your blogging activities, you may find yourself being sought out by other people for years. Having your name be your domain name is going to make you very easy to find.
Get the domain for at least three years, and if you use GoDaddy, be sure to do a Google search for a promo code to save yourself some money.

Ok I can buy that – I just never really thought that my name would be a good URL? I do own http://www.footballfoodandmotherhood.com
If I own my Wordpress site – can I use two different URLs like a regular website?
Also – where do I find good themes? looking to buy one -

@stephaniebarnhart just ask Mrs. Google to find you themes. or look at other blogs until you find one.
best yet, start with Château and have someone customize it for you. It’s not bad as a starting point.
