What I can say is it is really fun and you have the potential to make money from your work. First thing you have to do is open an account(all free) and fill out your profile as much as possible. What I did was then start reading as many articles as possible so you get an idea of what works and what doesn’t. When I finally started my first lens(article), they walk you through basically every step. You kind of just have to jump in the water and give it a try. There is an excellent support system in squidoo. If you are supportive to other writers by reading their stuff, liking it, making comments, they will reciprocate. Also the support staff at squidoo is great. As you become more familiar with the site, you have fun opportunities to “move up” in rank by doing various things.
